Some Chinese left-wing intellectuals,
workers and students have today signed a declaration in support of OccupyWallStreet movement
in the United States. Below is the main points in the declaration:
The 21st century shall become an era when the elite democracy
is replaced by the mass democracy, and the material wealth
is better shared between 1% of upper class and 99% of working
class.
However, at the present, whether it is in the "democratic" First
World or in the "autocratic" Third World, the resources
are controlled by the privileged 1%, and the decision is
made by the powerful 1%.
Now it is time for the depressed and deprived 99% to demand
their rightful share that are so far stolen by the greedy
and domineering 1%, as the 99% can no longer be fooled by
phony democratic rights that are bestowed by the ruling 1%
once in every four years, and no longer wish to live under
corporate dictatorship in daily life and at workplace.
We see the battle line is drawn, we understand this is the
struggle between the 99% and the 1%, and we believe this
fight will become an important step towards a new civilization
in which the jungle law will be replaced by the universal
humanity.
Thus we solemnly sign this declaration to express our firm
support for the OccupyWallStreet movement.
