Fume over Less than three weeks after the bloody carnage in Urumqi, China's Xinjiang Province, in which nearly 200 Chinese lost their lives with further more than 1,000 injured, some showmen and showwomen in Australian show business decided to openly show their delight and excitement over the tragic event by screening the cosy "love" of Rebiya for her men (many of them are terrorists). In protest of such a cold blooded support for murderers, three Chinese film directors declared to boycott the show fest, for which they have been hailed as heroes championing fundamental Chinese human rights by the Chinese in China and overseas. The followings are some online-comments on Chinese language websites in China and overseas (6parks.com):
文戈: MFF shows how low show business can go. 鬼见愁: Why doesn't MFF show a film about bin
Laden's cosy love for his ladies? Which surely will be
more eye-catching. 不会撒谎: Art has been corrupted by politics at MFF
in entirety. 融爯飞箝: Now there is no more reason to take a soft
approach towards Rio
Tinto's crimes against
Chinese interests. (xinhuanet.com): 国家匹夫: China's security bureau should place Rebiya
and her men and other
terrorists on A-level wanted list to hunt them down
globally. 想得不多 It seems that West
powers' assault upon
China has reached a new height to the point that they can
totally ignore the Chinese
lives. MFF's action is a
public endorsement of the massacre of the ordinary
Chinese people. This reveals the true nature of the Western-style
human rights. 子寅: With regard to the core national issues
like this, we should not just voice our opposition. We
need to take real actions against those hostile
Westerners. 孤独小猫: A second or third-grade film fest with no
influence in the world film industry seems hoping to draw
public attention by openly challenging China's unity and
sovereignty. 啥都不是: Simply put, MFF organisers are supporters
and promoters of terrorism . (china.com): 吾心: Our restraint and tolerance in face of the
West's
assault only brings us
down. 实事求是!: The West only wishes to see China descend
into chaos, trust me. 波澜: It seems we are yet to learn how to deal
with the Westerners. They only understand one way: An eye
for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. No more protesting,
no more talking, just produce a documentary about the
systematic massacres of Australian Aborigines by the
white settlers and show it to the world. 前海: Support Chinese film directors. As for
that Hu xx, the Rio guy, just convict him the crimes of
spying for the foreign power. 相信统一: Since kangaroos are determined to pick a
fight, let's take up the challenge! 八一军旗红: Why no leaders in the world ever dared to
meet with bin Laden? Because Americans are so determined
and tough. It's time for Chinese government to show the
same degree of determination and toughness towards the
terrorism! If we allow ourselves keeping to be pushed
around and bashed by the Western powers for another 100
years, as so advocated by that gutless Chinese diplomat
Wu, sooner we will be beneath the contempt of the entire
world community. jiujiangths: We should throw Rio out of China
completely. 铁肩担道义3: Jia Kezhang, a real bloke. I like his
films a lot and now he has my even stronger support. mgxc15503: Strongly support Jia Kezhang, Tang Xiaobai
and Zhao Liang for their patriotic act! 狂虾: It costs one nothing by not being part of
this low quality film festival, anyway. 傲世骄龙: I think we should declare China will never
participate in MFF. 1 | 2 | 3 Prev: Spying on
the Heaven
