Welcome American President

14 October 2009

On the days leading up to American President Barack Obama's visit to China, some Chinese Netizens begin to cudgel their brains to formulate welcome speeches to greet the war president and peace prize recipient. The following are some of the suggestions collected from Chinese online forums:

Welcome the War Lord.

I say Obama, don't be the puppet president of American military industry.

Your Westerners are indeed interesting people: A terrorist receives a human-rights award; a warmonger received a peace prize; a culprit for global financial crackdown received an economic prize. Yeah!

study1:

Please invite Dalai Lama to live with you in the White House, so you don't have to find an excuse to see him or not to see him.

wdzlq:

Remember: What you've owned, sooner or later you'll have to pay back.

Come on, pay off the debt that you owe us!

Time for a change. You Americans have bullied the world for too long.

We know the Western power you represented has never stopped its efforts to break up China. We love peace, but are ready for war if you dare to bring it to us!!!!!

Welcome Alien

On September 23, 2009 in a vacant field of a building construction site in China's second largest island province Hainan, a creepy object in the shape of white foam surfaced from nothingness, and fast grew from 2cm to 80cm in merely 7 hours between 9am to 3pm.

The alien did not seem to have a firm stance on earth though, swaying backward and forward in gentle winds.
