An Academic Cat

The Academic Cat assists a professor doing the teaching in the prestigious Beijing University

The Academic Cat listens to the lecture attentively with students

A mysterious cat with its origin yet to be positively identifies is reported to have attended the lectures in the Beijing University since 2004. According to its fellow students, its favourite subjects are of philosophy and arts, and it seems to have strong opinions over the related topics. When a lecturer explained about Henry Thoreau's transcendentalist view on nature, it was seen to shake its head in disapproval. It is possible that it knows better about nature, in particular about cats, than many people, such as that over-confident American.
